MarsCon is the longest running convention in the Tidewater region of VA. It is an excellent place to go for a personal Fan Con experience and a great way to start the year. This will be MarCon's first year back in VA Beach, the original birthplace of MarsCon. This year, the whole Terrible Movies with Wonderful People crew will be there, and we have a panel on terrible movies together. Yours truly will be moderating.

Ret-Con is a brand new convention taking place in Cary, NC. While the convention is new, the con-runners are experienced, and I'm looking forward to this convention.  I will be a guest at the inaugural convention, but I also bought my lifetime membership, and am already planning to attend in my off years.

RavenCon is a horror lover's paradise. The  author community shows up in force as well, and you can always find a ghost story or paranormal investigation. Music also takes center stage at this fantastic fan con in Richmond , VA. RavenCon is my home away from home, and I highly recommend this convention! I will be a guest there this year, and I'm really looking forward to it.

This con takes place at the Virginia Crossing Tapestry Collection by Hilton, in Glen Allen, VA. 

ConCarolinas is a Science Fiction and Fantasy Con that focuses on the Arts: literary, performing, and visual. Authors and performers abound, along with vendors, cosplayers,  and more. ConCarolinas is also focused on giving back to community, hosting BOTH a Charity Auction and a Blood Drive.

I will not be a guest this year (it's an off year for me in the rotation).

This con takes place at the Hilton Charlotte University Place, in Charlotte, NC. 

ConGregate is a speculative fiction fan convention  that  is just a blast to attend.  In it's third year at its new location, it's bound to be even more fun this year than last, and last year was a blast. I highly recommend giving ConGregate a visit if you're near Winston-Salem in July!  ConGregate is not one of the cons that I normally guest at, but  I love attending.

This con takes place at the Marriott Downtown, in Winston-Salem, NC. 

CrashcityCon is a newer con, in its third year and first in it's new home hotel. This is Roanoke's premier gaming convention, and it was a lot of fun as an attendee last year. This year, I've been asked to help out with the Magic: The Gathering events, so I'll be working/playing the whole weekend. Join us there!
