Some of my Favorite Things

Geek Radio Daily - More daily than the daily show. Geek Radio Daily was one of the first podcasts I ever listened to, and it is still one of my favorites. Putting out 20+ minutes of content 5 days a week, with very few breaks throughout the year, is impressive on its own. That it is unfailingly great is even more impressive. Guardians of the Geekery - Podcast of the Charlotte Geeks. Carol the Cat is actually part of Geek Radio Daily AND one of the OG Charlotte Geeks. The rest of the Charlotte Geeks also have multiple irons in the fire, AND these are the folks that throw the annual Geek Gala (I got to attend the inaugural event some years back). This podcast is engaging, and usually features a guest from the local geek community. You can also find them on Patreon.

Jarod Kearney - Extremely talented photographer and actor. Jarod has been the official photographer for many events that I've attended, and some of the better shots featured on this site are his work. He has also been featured in the movies and shorts of Darkstone Entertainment. Jarod is also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet! Follow his Instagram, you will NOT be disappointed.

Flabbergast the Wizard - Flabbergast is one of Central Virginia's premier family-friendly entertainers. His costuming is superb, his close-in magic is excellent, and his puppetry is wonderful. I love Flabbergast, my now grown kids have loved Flabbergast since they were small children, and you'll love Flabbergast, too. Over the years, I've come to love the man behind the beard and lippy dragon, as well. Find Flabbergast performing at conventions or judging costume contests.
